Burial & Funeral Procedure

To ensure a smooth and timely burial process, please follow the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Notify the Cemetery Manager

Weekdays: Contact the cemetery manager, Jibril Mozeb, to arrange for grave preparation.

Step 2: Contact a Funeral Home

A licensed funeral home must be contacted to arrange body transportation and to obtain the burial permit.

For local Muslims, the following funeral homes are commonly used:

• Stockton Funeral Home — 📞(209) 851-3694

• Khan Funeral Home — 📞 (209) 400-7625

You may also select a funeral home of your choice.

For non-local Muslims:
Please use a funeral home of your choosing.

Step 3: Submit Required Documentation

Please gather the following documents and text clear copies to the cemetery manager:

• State-approved valid identification of the deceased

• Burial permit (provided by the funeral home)

Step 4: Confirm Burial Arrangements and Fees

Contact the cemetery manager again to:

• Schedule the burial date and time

• Arrange payment (Cash, Check, or Zelle)

Burial Fees:

• Adult (Local): $3,000

• Child (Local, 3 ft or less): $1,500

• Adult (Out of Town): $6,500

• Child (Out of Town, 3 ft or less): $3,000

Step 5: On-Site Meeting

Meet with the cemetery manager at the cemetery to confirm payment and finalize arrangements.

Step 6: Submission of Burial Permit

The funeral home or a designated family representative must provide the original physical copy of the burial permit to the cemetery manager.

Step 7: Janazah (Funeral Prayer)

The Janazah prayer will be conducted in accordance with Islamic guidelines.
