Process to book CIC for Ghusl (Ritual Washing)
Initial Contact and Availability
Please contact Brother Mehmood Hasan at (209) 570-5018 or Brother Qasim at (209) 712-3149 to confirm availability for ghusl services at the California Islamic Center (CIC).
If ghusl services are available at CIC, please proceed to Step 2.
If ghusl services are not available, please contact one of the following facilities, all of which have ghusl accommodations to ensure there is no inconvenience for the deceased or the grieving family:

Notify the Funeral Home
Inform the funeral home that the deceased will be transported to the California Islamic Center for ghusl.
Transportation to CIC
The funeral home will transport the deceased to the California Islamic Center at the scheduled time.
Ghusl Amenities
The California Islamic Center provides all ghusl amenities free of charge. Families are not required to bring any supplies.
Ghusl Coordination
Upon arrival, please meet with Brother Mehmood or Brother Qasim to confirm who will perform the ghusl.
If family members are unfamiliar with the proper Islamic method of ghusl, guidance and assistance will be provided.
If the deceased is female and assistance is needed, arrangements will be made with qualified female members of the community to perform the ghusl in accordance with Islamic guidelines.
Viewing of the Deceased
Family members and close friends may view the deceased in a designated classroom, as permitted under California Islamic Center board guidelines.
Dua at the California Islamic Center
If you wish to remain at the California Islamic Center to sit for dua, please review and sign the Janazah, Ghusl, and Dua Policy by completing the form linked below. For any special dua-related requests, you may speak with Brother Mehmood or Brother Qasim.
Please note that all arrangements must adhere to the policies established by the CIC Board. In keeping with Islamic principles of fairness and equity, the California Islamic Center applies these policies uniformly to all families, ensuring equal treatment and consistency for all members of the community.
